It is always good to get high-quality ads on your pages, but you don’t necessarily want to show ads from your direct competitors.

If you are getting unwanted ads on your site, Google has a tool called the “Competitive Ad Filter “that allows you to choose to choose which ads not to show on your site.

The competitive ad filter works by blocking ads that link to specific URLs. This way, you can easily block all ads that are linked to your competitors website. By entering a top level domain such as www.my-competition.com, you’ll also block all ads that link to subdirectories below that domain.

This can come in very handy if your competition is selling the same product that you are promoting on your page.

You can help your visitors and increase your Adsense earnings at the same time, just by adding a Google search box to your web pages. This works out great because when someone uses the search box on your site they will be shown ads on the exact term that they typed in. If they click on any of the ads that they see while searching then you get the commission.

When you place the search box on your site you will have the ability to choose weather you want your visitor to be able to search your website as well as the web. You can even have search results that are tailored specifically to the topics on your site.

If you are trying to target a particular type of Google ad for your site but it keeps putting up a different type then you need to make sure that the keyword that is related to the ads that you are targeting is repeated enough in the page so that Ad sense knows that is what the page is about.

For the best results use different keywords and/or keyword phrases on each page of your website. Optimize each page with the keywords that are most relevant to type of ad that you want to show on that particular page.

You can also put your keywords in your title tag, meta tag keywords and description. This will help you achieve more targeted ads on your page.

Putting pictures that are on the same subject as the ads that show on your page can improve your click through rates a great deal.

But make sure that you do not put pictures of people looking at the ads or in any way indicating that people should click on the ads. According to the program policies you may not direct your visitors attention to the ads by using arrows or other graphical images.

This does not mean that you can not use graphics on your Adsense pages. It just means that you have to use them in a way that will complement the content of the page and not for the sole purpose of getting people to click on your ads.

There are many tools that can help you decide what keywords your should target to get the best results with your Google Adsense campaign.

A good free tool is the wordtraker tool. There you can type in words are related to the topic of the content on your page and see how many people are searching for them in Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL.

It will also tell you the estimated amount of Google Adwords traffic and cost per click that keyword is receiving. This will help you choose which keywords will yield the best results on your Adsense pages.

Google provides you with an excellent tool to help you preview the ads that appear on your page. This tool allows you to see the sample ads and formats, preview colors on your page, check the destination of the ads and geo targeted locations to see what visitors in other countries will see.

You should always take the time to experiment with your Adsense ads to improve your CTR (click through rate). So that you are sure to make the most from your Adsense efforts.

I hope you found that tip helpful and don’t forget if you have any questions let me know.

I would like to tell you how to make money using my 7 tips to Google Adsense Success, some important ways to help to get the most adsense click and you will learn exactly how you can successfully profit from Google Adsense.

First tip:

When you are running an Google Ad Sense campaign, it is important to make sure that you are testing all of the different possibilities to make sure that you are getting the highest click through rate.

For instance you cloud try placing the ads in different places on your site and using different color combinations. Then run
one ad format for a week, then run the second format and compare results. Better yet, test the formats simultaneously and start getting side by side results to compare.

Just be sure to allow each test the same amount of time to work to make sure that your results are equal.

Although testing is necessity, there are certain areas for  our ads that are thought to be more likely to encourage a greater click through than others.

It is a proven fact that, one place the visitors look first on he site is the top left position. But there are other places
to consider depending on your site design. For instance, above the page footer and below the top-level navigation are good.
And near the middle with the main content wrapped around the ad s thought to be optimum.

Take a look in the help files inside your Google Adsense account and you will find the latest research plus heat maps suggesting the best locations to place your ads.

Although it may seem to be a good idea, do not try to make our ads stand out from the other content on your page.

Keep in mind that the readers did not come to your site to click on ads, but to read the content. You should take care
to build your page around a specific topic.

This will ensure that the Adsense ads that are shown on the page, are relevant and useful to your visitors. If the ads
blend in with the content on your site you will be more likely to get a better click through rate on them.

I hope you are learning a lot from our little tips.

Some people think that it is bad to put Adsense on too many pages. But if you are going for the Adsense revenue then it
is important to give your visitors as much chance to click through as possible.

Keep in mind that not all of them will arrive at your home page. Especially if they have found you through the search engines. If you don’t want Adsense on all of your pages you can  concentrate on placing the Google Adsense ads on high traffic pages to get the best results.

You can identify the most visited pages on your site by looking  at your site logs or even your Google Analytics account, which will provide you with page by page details of visitors you receive.

If you don’t have a Google Analytics account you can get a free one here: www.google.com/analytics

According to the Adsense terms you can place up to three ad nits on each page along with a maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes, a single link unit may also be placed on ach page.

You can also include two referral units from each referral product in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link
units.

Be careful not to overload your page with more ads than content. Try to create a balance that allows you to blend
your ad units in with the rest of the content. You will find hat this will help increase your click through rate.

Google adsense has run tests that show that; horizontal ads generally work better than vertical ones. The idea being that the eye
is more used to reading horizontally and so is more likely to be familiar with this layout.

It has also been suggested that the larger rectangular ads that read horizontally will receive a higher click through.
The best way for you to find out which ad format will work best on your site is by testing and comparing your results.

If you have three ad block units on your page,  but you still want more you can also add one of Google’s link units
in addition to the other three units.

The link units are small blocks of links that take the reader to a page of ads that are related to the topic of your site
in the same way that the usual text ads do.

The nice thing about link units is that they look a lot  like navigation links and can easily blend in with your page design. This will give your visitors the impression that they are clicking through a link on your page rather than
an ad.

You can also submit your blog to traditional search engines such as AltaVista, MSN and traditional directories such as DMOZ. Directories (particularly DMOZ) will help you increase your relevance with Google.

It’s good to submit to as many blog, RSS directories and search engines as possible. This is a simple but repetitive process
that can be done by hand or with a submission service or software.

Nine blogging tip:

I want to share with you another way that you can get more traffic to your blog.

It’s by submitting articles to article directories such as EzineArticles.com or Goarticles.com. It is the same process
as submitting articles to promote your website. The only  difference is you that you will need to include the address
of your blog in the resource box, so that readers who like your articles can click through to read your blog.

You can also submit to many more directories by using an article submission service or software that will submit your
article to several directories at the same time.

Ten blogging tip:

Another good way to get traffic to your blog is to join forums that are on the same subject as yours.

Being a frequent participant on forums can not only increase the traffic to your blog it can also provide you with links
back to your blog, which will help your search engine ranking. Not to mention the fact that it can increase your chances of
being seen as an expert, plus help you sell more of your products and make you new friends too.

Forums very often have a signature box that appears on all of the posts  that you make. In your signature file you can
add you blog address and a brief advertisement to entice readers to click through to your blog.

To find a list of forums that are related to your topic just do a quick search like this, forum + “your topic”. For instance
if you are looking for dog related forums your search term  would be (forum + “dog”). This will return a full list of
dog forums that you can pick from.

Elevent blogging tip:

One of the easiest ways to get income from your blog.

If you want to increase the revenue from you blog you can do this by adding Adsense ads to it. These are ads that are put
on your blog by Goggle and you get paid every time someone clicks them.

You just apply to Google for an Adsense account  (www.google.com/adsense) and they give you a small piece of
code to add to your blog and the ads show up automatically.

If you are using Blogger they already have an adsense option in the dashboard settings under template. So all you have to
do pick the type of ad to show.

With Wordpress and some other blog software you can find  Adsense ready templates (often free) that you can use to
easily incorporate the ads into your blog. Just do a search for; blog template + “adsense” and you will find some great options.

Twelve blogging tip:

Another good way to get income from your blog is to promote affiliate programs from it.

This means that whenever one of your readers buys one of the products that you are advertising from your blog you will
receive a commission from the sale.

Promoting affiliate programs is the next best thing to having your own product to sell. There are many places to find
products to promote. Two of the top affiliate market places are Clickbank and Commission Junction. Clickbank has a huge variety of digital products with a higher commission rate while Commission Junction carries more physical goods.

Another great place to look is at Associateprograms.com http://www.associateprograms.com/directory/ it is an affiliate
program directory.

Thirteen blogging tip:

Today’s tip is about getting readers to come back.

Even when your blog is up and running and you have good steady traffic to it, do not think that your readers will just keep on coming back to your blog if you do not post regularly.

Steven Yap Blog readers can be very fickle and the best way to keep them is to give them new things to read so that they will keep
coming back.

The next thing you can do is find a way to keep in touch with them. You can do this by adding a contact from to your blog,
so that you can capture their email address so that you can send them a little note to let them know that you have added
a new post.

There are different ways the you can do this, but one of the easiest is to use an autoresponder service like
Getresponse.com or Aweber.com that will allow you to assign your blog feed to an autoresponder which will send out
a message every time you post to your blog.

I hope your blogging efforts are progressing nicely.

Fourteen blogging tip:

Let’s talk about video blogging.

Video is everywhere these days so why not use it on your blog.

With all of the tools available it has never been easier to add video to your existing blog or create a complete video
blog. Vlogs are increasing in popularity very quickly and it is a great new way to share your thoughts with your
visitors. Plus increase the value of your blog.

It’s pretty simple to add video to your blog once you have created one. All you have to do is upload it to a video hosting service like Youtube or Metacafe and use the code that hey provide to embed the video on your blog. Most video hosting
services have easy to follow instructions.

If you don’t have your own videos you can also share videos  reated by other people on your blog. Just be sure to keep
the videos on topic with your content.

I would like to share with you some tips how my steven yap blogging tips will help you learn exactly how you can successfully manage your own popular blog or weblog.

First blogging tip:

It’s time to start blogging.

If you have never posted to a blog or weblog before the first thing you need to do is decide what the topic of your blog will
be.

If you plan on starting a business type blog, it needs to be a little more informational, but still informal, so that the people who read it, actually want to read it and will want to keep coming back to check for more helpful information.

If it is a personal blog then it needs to be a little more fun and entertaining. You can fill with just about anything that
interested you. Although it is a good idea not to include to much personal information, because you never know who will be
reading.

Second blogging tip:

As you begin to blog you will find that blogging is not as  formal as a standard web page. In fact it can make it seem
more accessible and friendly, if the blog is written in a more conversational style.

You can express your views in a more informal way on any given topic rather than just telling the reader what it is that you
want to convey to them. This allows your reader to become more interested and involved in what you have to say.

Third blogging tip:

Lets talk about choosing the best topic or niche for your blog.

Especially if you want to make money with it. Picking your niche carefully is very important if you are planning to generate an income from your blog. You don’t want o choose too wide of a niche or you will find that it is hard o compete with the big sites and blogs.

For instance, rather than choosing health and fitness you might try, a smaller more focused topic like exercise for the office,
or the home workers guide to staying fit. This gives you more chance of ranking well in your niche.

Four blogging tip:

It’s time for your next tip.

I hope you are learning a lot from our little tips.

Today let’s talk about using keywords in your blog.

If you use great keywords in you blog you can expect to see  lot of traffic from the search engines. This is the best
type of traffic because it is targeted and it’s free.

There are many ways and tools you can use to find good keywords for your blog. Like the google / seobook Keyword Suggestion

Tool here: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/

Tool here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
When you type in a keyword related to your blog it will give you a list of keywords to use in your blog that people are searching or. It will also tell you how many times the word is searched or, plus other useful information that you can use to find the best keywords for your blog, so search engines will send you raffic.

Fifth blogging tip:

Let’s talk a little more about using keywords on your blog.

If you vary the keywords that you use you will give yourself a better chance of getting free traffic from the search engines.
Many search engine specialists think that the search engines look for a keyword density of around 2-3%.

This means that for every 100 words that you write you will need to mention the keyword 2-3 times. Try not let this affect
your style of writing. It is very important to incorporate the keywords into your text so that the information still sounds
interesting to your readers.

This will take some practice, but it will be worth your efforts.

Six blogging tip:

Today we are going to jump right into how often you should be posting to your blog.

Although there isn’t an exact science when it comes to how often you should post it is a good idea to post regularly
but not too much.

When you start to build up a readership, you need to post regularly to keep them coming back. But don’t start posting
dozens of times a day, or your blog may be seen as Spam by the search engines and this could have a serious effect on your
ranking.

After you have been posting for a while you will find your  own formula for posting simply by keeping track of the results
you receive.

Seven blogging tip:

Have you pinged your blog today?

It’s a good idea to “ping” your blog whenever you add a new post. “Pinging” is a way of letting the search engines know that you have added content to your blog.

Pinging is very simple just go to a pinging site such as feedburner.com or pingomatic.com and fill in the details of your blog. Then when you add posts to your blog, just go to their site and click the ping button.

This will get your blog post added to their news feed much  faster than waiting for the search engines to find it. Contact me - Steven Yap if you need my service.
